Email Archiving Service
What Is Archiving?
Email archiving and retrieving is becoming increasingly important, especially as escalating legal requirements for email retention and retrieval become standard practice.
Additionally, disaster recovery and response plans often require offsite storage of critical business data, including emails. Because a disaster could include loss of Internet access, having your own copies of past emails can help get your business back up and running smoothly and quickly, without being solely dependent on the Internet.
BCC Archiving -- Bcc Archiving forwards a copy of all incoming and outgoing emails to another email account. This allows customers to archive all incoming and outgoing emails, storing them in another email account hosted on our system. Bcc Archiving is optional and is available at a minimal charge for each archived email account. Administrators can purchase—and manage—Bcc Archiving through the administrative control panel, after signing up for the services.
What's the Cost?
- $3/month/email account you wish to archive
- Also need to create an actual new archive email account (would be extra monthly fee as seen from chart above) that holds all the archive emails.
- The actual archive email account would need to be a 10GB account
- You can choose to archive incoming emails, outgoing emails or both incoming and outgoing emails
- All emails on your domain would need to pay for this, you cannot pick and choose which email accounts can have this
So for instance if you had 10 email accounts setup for your domain and you wished to archive those accounts you would be looking at: $3 x 10 = $30/month + the cost of an extra archive email acount to hold all the email
